When I was younger we called these ”Body Warmers”, which is a great description for this thermal garment from Seaskin, as it does just that. The new Seaskin Thermal Gilet is intended to be worn over a conventional diving undersuit when the water starts to get chilly, boosting your suits insulation. We use it for that of course but also, we wear it when driving to the dive site, on the boat, riding our bikes, or just any time when you want a super light weight extra layer.
